South Jordan police found hundreds of pieces of allegedly stolen mail in a woman's van.

On Thursday night, residents called police about a Chevrolet van that was traveling on the wrong side of the road and stopping at mailboxes, at which point someone would pull the mail out, according to a police news release.

When officers arrived, they spoke to a woman walking away from the van.

"While speaking with her, she dropped a methamphetamine pipe and admitted to being involved in mail theft in the area," according to the release. In the van, police found "hundreds of pieces of mail belonging to 127 known separate victims from Eagle Mountain to Salt Lake City."

She also had numerous credit cards that were not in her name, the release adds. Police arrested her under suspicion of mail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
