If you love your job, you have more time to tell us about it.

The Salt Lake Tribune is extending until May 23 its deadline for nominating the Wasatch Front's best businesses and organizations for its Top Workplaces program.

Last year The Tribune partnered with Workplace Dynamics, a Pennsylvania-based employee-research firm, to determine the best places to work along the Wasatch Front. In November, we published the results of the survey in a special section and profiled the companies — large, medium and small — with the most contented employees. They were The Tribune's Top Workplaces for 2014.

We are doing it again this year. If you love your job, nominate your company, and tell us what makes your workplace work for you. The companies ranked highest by their employees will be honored as Top Workplaces for 2015 and featured in a special section at sltrib.com and in a Sunday section of The Tribune.

Scores of Wasatch Front companies have been nominated, and they are being contacted by Workplace Dynamics to begin the interview process. The deadline has been extended to ensure we get the largest pool of entries possible.

Last year's survey of almost 12,000 Wasatch Front workers found these factors make for a good place to work:

• Employee trust in the leadership and confidence that the company is headed in the right direction.

• Effective communication between managers and employees.

• A sense that the work is meaningful and that the company operates with strong values and ethics.

• An environment that recognizes the need to balance work and personal life.

Some of the comments from employees about why they love where they work:

• "I have the freedom to make decisions to do my job."

• "I consider co-workers to be like a family of sorts, very caring and supportive."

Any organization with 35 or more employees in Salt Lake, Utah, Tooele, Summit, Davis and Weber counties is eligible. These can be private, public, nonprofit or government entities. There is no cost to enter..
