A 19-year-old Utah man admitted Monday that he killed a woman inside her Taylorsville home last April.

Bryan Steve Presentacion-Quintanilla pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree felonies aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.

As part of a plea deal, attorneys have agreed to recommend at his May 21 sentencing that the 19-year-old serve two concurrent 25-years-to-life prison terms.

Presentacion-Quintanilla admitted in plea agreement documents that he beat and strangled 59-year-old Margaret Steffey inside her home near 3900 W. Blue Meadow Drive. The defendant also admitted to stashing the woman's body in a basement crawl space, and stealing Steffey's debit cards.

On April 16, 2014, Unified police went to Steffey's residence and found her body, which had been wrapped in two black trash bags. A Utah medical examiner determined that Steffey died "from a combination of factors, including blunt force trauma, suffocation and strangulation," according to the charges.

According to charging documents, more than $1,500 was withdrawn from Steffey's bank account between April 11 and April 19, 2014. When police arrested Presentacion-Quintanilla, the man had the victim's credit cards, some cash and a newly purchased airline ticket to El Salvador, where police have said the defendant has family.

Presentacion-Quintanilla's fingerprints were also found on the trash bags that Steffey's body was wrapped in, according to court documents.
