An Ogden woman hurt in a weekend multi-vehicle remained in intensive care Monday, but her condition had been upgraded to serious, police said.

Ogden police Lt. Tim Scott said that Mayra Ramirez, 22, continued to recover from broken bones and head trauma she sustained in an early Sunday morning crash at 27th Street and Harrison Boulevard.

About 2:30 a.m. Sunday, a Chevrolet Cruze was eastbound on 27th Street when it allegedly ran a stop sign and smashed into Ramirez's Ford Explorer. The Explorer rolled, while the Cruze continued north and hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle before coming to a halt.

Ramirez initially was in critical condition when rushed to Ogden's McKay-Dee Hospital.

The 17-year-old boy who was driving the Cruze remained in serious condition Monday, while his 18-year-old female passenger had been released from the hospital, Scott said.

The investigation is ongoing, but police suspect alcohol was a factor.
