Police suspect alcohol may have been a factor in the crash of a pickup truck into a northwest Salt Lake City house Monday morning.

SLCPD Detective Greg Wilking said no injuries were reported in the 9 a.m. accident near 1200 North and 1000 West, though people reportedly were inside when the truck smashed into the residence.

The pickup was westbound on 1200 North when he apparently overshot a left turn and plowed into the living room of house. The occupants were in other rooms at the time of the crash.

The driver was taken into custody at the scene and was taken to SLCPD headquarters for testing.

Damages to the house were being assessed.
