A Colorado man died Saturday after driving an ATV off a cliff in Grand County.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the Grand County Sheriff's Office was notified of the crash in the White Wash Sand Dunes area. The recreational area is 48 miles northwest of Moab.

After deputies, medical personnel and rescuers arrived, they discovered Jason Mondragon, 31, of Arvada, Colo., had driven his ATV off an estimated 65-foot cliff, according to a sheriff's office news release.

The emergency responders recovered his body.
