An octogenerian couple, initially in critical condition after a multi-vehicle weekend crash in Midvale that killed a West Jordan man, were reported to be making progress in their recovery Monday.
Unified Police Detective Ken Hansen said the 85-year-old woman still was technically critical by doctors on Monday, but he indicated that was a precautionarily conservative assessment due to her age. Her husand, also 85, was in serious condition, again due to his age, but "is doing better."
The five-car collision on 7200 South near the Interstate 15 exit killed Russell Hale about 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The cause and sequence of crashes remained under investigation.
