Students and others at the University of Utah have a new reason to hold on to January resolutions. A new multifaceted gym has opened on campus.

U. officials in a news conference Thursday celebrated the George S. Eccles Student Life Center at the University of Utah, which opened in recently on the upper campus.

The 180,000 square-foot facility has two racquetball courts, three basketball courts, three pools, a four-story climbing wall, a 320-yard indoor running track and other features. Personal training and massages also are available.
