Police were hunting for a suspect in an early Tuesday morning stabbing in downtown Salt Lake City's homeless district.

Detectives say the stabbing, which put a 27-year-old man in the hospital in serious condition, culminated a 3 a.m. Tuesday street brawl at 210 S. Rio Grande.

Police did not release a description of the suspect, but were reviewing video security footage.
