Unified Police are hunting for two armed and masked men who held up a Taylorsville McDonald's restaurant late Thursday night.

The bandits — males in their 20s or 30s, one wearing a clown mask, the other a black ski mask, and both clad in dark hooded sweatshirts — both brandished handguns when they entered the fast food eatery, 4217 S. Redwood Road, about 11:30 p.m.

"One suspect forced the manager to the back where the safe was. The second suspect stayed in the front and held the other employees and customers at gunpoint," UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal said.

"Once they got the money from the safe, they fled on foot to the south and jumped a fence. We searched the area thoroughly, but could not locate the suspects," he added.

No shots were fired and no one was injured.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call UPD at 801-743-7000.
