Search and Rescue divers on Tuesday recovered the body of a person who fell through the ice of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

Sweetwater County (Wyo.) sheriff's Detective Dick Blust said the incident, just inside the Wyoming side of the recreation site that straddles the state's border with Utah, was reported about 2 p.m. Monday on the Lost Dog area, south of Green River, Wyo.

Initial efforts to locate the person were unsuccessful, and divers went into the water Tuesday morning to resume the search. About 11:15 a.m., the body was located and retrieved, Blust said.

He declined to release the identity of the victim pending confirmation by a medical examiner and notification of next of kin.
