A Salt Lake City dance teacher has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 17-year-old student.

Police arrested the 33-year-old woman Friday after the boy told investigators that they had sex seven times, according to a jail document.

Police allege that the woman groomed him by buying him clothing and other personal items, and paid for his trip to a Disneyland dance competition that other dancers had to pay for.

The sexual relationship allegedly began in September and lasted through December, according to the document. The teen was allegedly seen spending nights at her home, and she allegedly picked him up in the middle of the night before driving to a church parking lot to "engage in intercourse," the document adds.

At some point, the woman's husband hired a private investigator, who reportedly found the woman and the teen together in her studio on Nov. 28. The woman later allegedly admitted the sexual relationship to her husband and parents, according to the document.

The woman was booked into Salt Lake County jail under suspicion of sexual activity with a minor. The woman has yet to be charged in 3rd District Court.
