A former Davis Clipper editor died on New Year's Day in an Arizona car crash.

The Davis County newspaper reports that 64-year-old Tom Busselberg was killed when the car he was riding in was hit by another car on an icy bridge on Highway 93 in Wikieup, Ariz.

Busselberg retired last spring from the Clipper, where he worked as a reporter and editor for much of his life, according to the weekly newspaper.

He also worked for the Granite School District, the Ogden Standard-Examiner and owned his own business throughout his career.

Gravesides services are expected to be held in Arizona.
