A South Salt Lake family shared their story this week about the aftermath of a freak accident in January, when a car crashed into their apartment.

Juana Segura and her family were eating dinner when the car drove into their home, FOX 13 reports. Jennifer Segura, 10, wound up under the car and was injured, according to FOX 13.

“I had scratches on my leg and my knee was hurting and I had a cut on my ear,” Jennifer Segura said, according to FOX 13.

Jennifer Segura and her two sisters, one of whom is a baby, all survived the crash.

South Salt Lake Police Spokesperson Danielle Croyle told The Salt Lake Tribune that the family is doing well but said they are unable to go back into their home to get their belongings because the building is unstable. She said they have been sleeping on air mattresses. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family.

Police have not released the results of their investigation into why the crash happened.
