Three children — 7, 8 and 13 — were injured when someone poured gasoline on a fire pit Sunday night.
The blast happened at 7:30 p.m. near 1300 East on El Sendero Circle in Holladay.
None of the injuries was life-threatening, according to Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke. The 8-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but her condition has since been upgraded to good.
One of the children poured gasoline in the fire pit in an attempt to get the fire to “flame up” and it exploded, Lohrke said.
The blast is being treated as an accident and no charges will be fired, Lohrke said.
