Ogden police searching for elderly woman believed to have wandered from her home

(Photo courtesy of the Ogden Police Department) Police are searching for Verna Marriott, who is believed to have wandered from her home Friday morning.

Police are trying to find a woman who they believe walked away from her Ogden home Friday morning.

According to a news release, Verna Marriott is believed to have walked away from her 428 29th St. home between 2 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The 79-year-old is 5-foot-1, and weighs 180 pounds. She has grey/brown hair.

The release said her caretakers think she left without shoes, and needs a walker to get around. She suffers from dementia.
