Two people injured in three Ogden shootings

A 28-year-old man was shot in the head early Monday morning after two other weekend shootings in Ogden, according to police.

Police did not say what condition the man was in after the shooting at about 2:40 a.m. near 900 East 16th Street in Ogden. The suspected shooter — or shooters — left quickly, witnesses told police, according to a post on the Ogden department’s Facebook page.

About 13 hours earlier, at 1:45 p.m., an 18-year-old was shot about a block and a half away from that spot, near 750 West and Canyon Road. The teenager was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, according to police.

On Saturday night, shots were fired downtown, on 25th Street near 200 East. No one was injured in the 11:45 p.m. incident, according to the Facebook post.

Police are investigating the three shootings. Motives haven’t been identified, according to police, and investigators believe the victims in the shootings were not selected at random.
