A Stansbury Park man has died of his injuries from a two-vehicle collision on State Route 36 in Tooele County.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce identified the deceased as 35-year-old Christopher R. Bryson. Bryson had been in “very critical” condition when flown to University Hospital following the 8:52 a.m. Monday crash near the Canyon Road intersection, just outside of Tooele.

Troopers say the accident occurred when a southbound pickup truck driven by a 60-year-old woman drifted into the path of Bryson’s car, striking it on the driver’s side.

The woman was taken to an area hospital in fair condition.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation, but Royce said initial indications were that driver fatigue was a factor.
