A West Jordan police officer has gone missing, and his department is asking for help in finding him.

Jedediah "JR" Steadman, 34, was last seen leaving his home in West Jordan on Tuesday. A news release from the police department said he had an argument with his wife and left the home.

His family says he is an avid hunter, angler and outdoorsman and he may be stranded somewhere, according to the news release.

He was driving a blue 1998 Dodge pickup with an extended cab and a blue topper over the bed. The Utah license plate is B963D and has a fallen officer memorial decal.

Steadman is white, has brown hair and eyes and is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.
