Cache County Search and Rescue crews found a snowmobiler alive Monday in the Franklin Basin area, where he had been missing since late Saturday night.

Details of the rescue were not immediately released, but Sheriff's Lt. Doyle Peck confirmed that searchers had reported finding Lawrence Orduno, a 48-year-old Arizona man, shortly before 10 a.m. Monday. Rescuers reported him to be in good condition, though they fed and warmed him before continuing down Logan Canyon.

"All I know right now is that he was found alive and seems to be OK," Peck said.

Orduno had become separated from his snowmobiling companion, 27-year-old Courtney Wood of Logan, about 10 p.m. Saturday.

Peck said Wood reported searching the area for Orduno without success. Early Sunday morning, Wood made his way to a Logan Canyon road and flagged down a motorist to get help.

Search and rescue crews spent most of Sunday looking for Orduno but were forced to suspend efforts with the fall of night and heavy snowfall. The search was continued at dawn Monday with additional crews from neighboring Box Elder and Rich counties, as well as Franklin County, Idaho.

The search was called off at about 7 p.m. Sunday due to snowfall and resumed about 7 a.m. Monday.
