South Salt Lake police have identified a woman who died after being struck by at least one vehicle as she crossed a dark street against the traffic signal.

South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller said that 57-year-old Lorraine Rodriguez, of Salt Lake City, died of her injuries after the 10 p.m. Monday accident at 3300 S. 900 West.

Rodriguez was in a crosswalk, but she entered the street against the light and was wearing dark clothing at the time.

Police know she was hit moments later by a Nissan Altima, but also were trying to determine if she also may have been struck by a van.

No citations have been issued, but the incident remains under investigation.
