A couple who died in a weekend off-road vehicle rollover in Bountiful have been identified as a Hill Air Force Base airman and his wife.

Micah Garbarino, spokesman for the 75th Air Base Wing, said 34-year-old Staff Sgt. Derek Ramos and his wife, Emily, died Saturday morning at the scene of the crash, a dirt road embankment near Skyline Drive. Their two children, who escaped with minor injuries from the Jeep, are in the care of family members.

Staff Sgt. Ramos, originally from Seattle, was a pharmacy technician with the 75th Medical Group.

Funeral services were pending.

"Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Ramos' children, their family and friends," said Col. Ron Jolly, 75th Air Base Wing commander. "This is a loss to all of us, and our thoughts are with those grieving during this difficult time."

The accident remained under investigation by the Davis County Sheriff's Department.
