Bountiful • Two adults were killed and two minors were critically injured in a rollover accident in Bountiful Canyon near the Bountiful "B" on Saturday at 9:42 a.m.

The man was dead at the scene when authorities arrived. A female adult passenger initially showed signs of life, but later died at the scene, according to Davis County Sheriff's Sgt. DeeAnn Servey.

Medical helicopters responded to the accident on Skyline Drive and flew the injured victims to a hospital, where they were stabilized.

The man who died was an airman assigned to the 75th Air Base Wing at Hill Air Force Base, according to a news release from the base. Investigators do not expect to identify the man and his family until at least Monday.

"Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of this Hill AFB family," Col. Ron Jolly, 75th Air Base Wing commander, said in a statement. "This is a loss to all of us, and our thoughts are with those grieving during this difficult time."

The four were in a four-wheel vehicle equipped with four-point harness seatbelts for off-roading. It was unclear whether the restraints were used. The four were driving up the mountain with a group of people, Servey said.
