Police in Cedar City are looking for a man who stole a donation barrel from a Wal-Mart that had money intended for Utah Primary Children's Hospital.

Surveillance video from the Cedar City Wal-Mart shows a man stop his car in front of the store at about 4 a.m. on Monday and open the rear door of his white newer model Nissan Cube. The man then enters the store, looks around and carries the large, clear barrel out of the store and into his car, according to police.

Police say there was at least $100 in donations in the barrel — intended for the Children's Miracle Network — and the barrel itself is worth about $100. The large barrel, which has plastic rails for coins to slide down, is intended to collect spare change.

If anyone has any information about the theft, they are asked to call the Cedar City Police Department at 435-586-2956.
