Two girls suffered minor injuries when they were hit by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon at Weber High School in Pleasant View.

The Ogden Standard-Examiner reported that about 2:45 p.m., a 16-year-old male student was slowly driving a pickup in the east parking lot of the school when a female friend hopped onto the hood.

Pleasant View Police Chief Ryon Hadley said the girl reportedly obstructed the view of the driver, who ended up hitting two other female students who were walking nearby, according to the Standard-Examiner.

One girl was knocked away from the truck and was treated on the scene. The other was pulled under the truck, but did not go underneath the tires, the Standard-Examiner reported. She was transported by ambulance to McKay-Dee Hospital in fair condition.

Both victims were said to be 16 years old.
