A Lehi woman died, and another driver was in serious condition after a Saturday afternoon crash in Riverton.

Taylor Zimmerman, 20, was driving northbound on Redwood Road when witnesses say she ran the red light at Bangerter Highway, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. At about 4:12 p.m., an eastbound Pontiac Grand Prix struck Zimmerman's car, a Hyundai Sonata, in the intersection.

Zimmerman was extricated from the car and flown to University Hospital in "extremely critical condition," but she later died, according to police.

A 10-month-old boy in the back seat was treated and released at the scene, Hoyal said.

The woman who was driving the Grand Prix was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in serious condition. An 11-year-old girl in the Grand Prix was taken to Intermountain in fair condition, and a 5-year-old girl in the car was treated and released at the scene.

Officers are still investigating the crash, and Hoyal advised drivers to avoid the intersection.
