The driver of a car in a rollover accident in Morgan County that killed a passenger has died, authorities said.

Wyatt Kelsy, 20, of Layton, succumbed to injuries he suffered in the crash late Wednesday on State Road 167, known as Trappers Loop, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The UHP has identified the passenger who died as Scott M. Egbert, 19. of Ogden.

Kelsey was driving a 2008 Mazda south on State Road 167 at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday when it rolled, ejecting him and Egbert. The two were transported by helicopter to Ogden's McKay-Dee Hospital. Three other people in the car were treated for minor injuries.

The UHP said excessive speed and no seat-belt use were factors in the rollover and fatalities.

Trappers Loop is an 11-mile stretch of road that connects Weber Canyon at Interstate 84 in Mountain Green with the Ogden Valley near Huntsville.
