Utahns will experience a dry and warm Thanksgiving weekend this year.

The National Weather Service predicts sunny skies and high temperatures hovering in the mid-50s for the next several days in northern Utah, while temperatures will reach 70 degrees further south.

There is no expected rain or snow that will hamper Thanksgiving travelers driving through Utah, but the weather service warned if Utahns are driving north into Wyoming or Idaho or east into Colorado to prepare for winter storms and up to two inches of snowfall.

In Salt Lake City, the high temperature is expected to reach 55 degrees Wednesday and Thursday, 56 degrees on Friday, and 55 degrees Saturday with a 20 percent chance of rain.

It's expected to be sunny in St. George all weekend, with a high temperature prediction of 67 degrees Wednesday, 70 degrees Thursday and Friday, and 69 degrees on Saturday.
