While more snow and rain is predicted Tuesday for northern Utah, warm temperatures and mild weather are expected for the Thanksgiving weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, it will rain and possibly snow in northern Utah cities before 11 a.m. Tuesday, but it's expected that as temperatures warm up throughout the day, the snow will give way to rain. In Salt Lake City and surrounding areas, the high temperature is expected to reach 47 degrees.

For Wednesday and Thursday, pleasant and mild weather is expected statewide. The high temperature in Salt Lake City is expected to reach 52 degrees on Wednesday and 54 degrees and sunny on Thanksgiving. Similar conditions are expected Friday, but rain may return by Saturday.

Farther south, those in St. George and surrounding areas can expect sunny and clear skies throughout Thanksgiving weekend. The high temperature over the next three days is expected to hover in the mid-60s.
