Winter weather will likely bring delays to commuters across the Wasatch Front Monday morning.

The National Weather Service predicts snow and wind Monday through 11 a.m.

The snowy conditions have already factored into several accidents in northern Utah, including a crash on southbound Legacy Parkway in Davis County that was cleared later Monday morning.

Delays are expected on eastbound Interstate 84 near Taggert, where a crash involving a semi-truck was reported just before 7 a.m. Monday. Another crash in Utah County has closed the on-ramp on northbound Interstate 15 near Provo at mile marker 265, while yet another crash is blocking the left lane of eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 208 in Grand County.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for northern Utah until mid-morning. While less than an inch of snow is expected in the valleys, higher-elevation areas are expected to receive 1 to 4 inches of new snowfall Monday morning. The Utah Department of Transportation has advised drivers to be cautious while traveling on mountain highways, such as US-89 over Sardine Summit, US-89 through Logan Canyon and Interstate 84.

High temperatures are expected to hover near 44 degrees in Salt Lake City and surrounding areas on Monday. On Tuesday, another day of temperatures in the mid-40s is expected, with rain and snow mix possible.

Farther south, sunny skies are predicted for St. George, with high temperatures expected to reach 56 degrees Monday and 60 degrees Tuesday.
