A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday in a Summit County crash.

About 5:30 p.m, the man was eastbound on Homestead Road when he collided with a teenage driver who was turning off of Homestead Road onto eastbound Interstate 80, said Summit County sheriff's Sgt. Jeremy Forman.

It's still unclear how the crash occurred, the sergeant said.

"It's all in the very preliminary investigation," Forman said.

The man was flown to a local hospital in "extremely critical condition," the sergeant said. The girl in the passenger vehicle was not hurt, he added.
