An 18-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon in a Herriman car crash.

About 1:20 p.m., a westbound Ford Bronco crashed into a northbound Saturn in the intersection of 5600 W. 13100 South, sending the Saturn crashing into a south-facing Dodge Charger waiting at the light. Witnesses say the Saturn had run a red, said police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

An 18-year-old passenger in the Saturn died; the Saturn's 17-year-old male driver went to Intermountain Medical Center in fair condition, Hoyal said.

The drivers of the Bronco and the Charger were not hurt, the lieutenant added.

Police expect significant traffic delays around the intersection into the evening as their investigation continues.
