Salt Lake City police are investigating a gang-related shooting that left one man injured outside a Sugar House club in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The shooting occurred at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Club Karamba, 1049 E. 2100 South.

Officers called to a report of shots fired found one man had been shot in the chest. He was taken to a local hospital with wounds that were not life threatening.

Police said it appears the victim was an innocent bystander.

The suspect may have fired from a white Cadillac Escalade.

The gang-involved case is being investigated by Safe Streets Task Force.
