Utah's Republican congressional incumbents are on track for easy victories on Election Day next Tuesday, according to the latest poll by UtahPolicy.com.
The surveys were conducted by Dan Jones & Associates early last week. The results, released Tuesday, do not include information on the 4th District contest, which is an open race between Republican Mia Love and Democrat Doug Owens. That contest is expected to be the state's tightest, with various polls showing anything from a narrow Owens lead to a substantial Love advantage.
The polling on the other three congressional districts have been far more consistent, and this latest one matched the pattern.
1st District • Rep. Rob Bishop is leading Democrat Donna McAleer, 57 percent to 25 percent. The two faced off in 2012 as well, and Bishop received 71.5 percent of the vote.
2nd District • Rep. Chris Stewart is on track to win a second term. The poll showed him capturing 58 percent of the vote to 26 percent for state Sen. Luz Robles, D-Salt Lake City.
3rd District • Rep. Jason Chaffetz has a massive lead over political newcomer Brian Wonnacott. Chaffetz got 70 percent in the survey, and Wonnacott, the Democrat, received 19 percent.
The margins of errors ranged between plus or minus 6.6 percentage points and nearly 7 percentage points.
