• Autodesk Inc., up $5.17 to $68.87

The maker of design software reported a small profit, beating expectations of a loss.

• Herbalife Ltd., down $1.43 to $60.50

The Wall Street Journal reported that billionaire investor Carl Icahn, the company's biggest shareholder and defender, has been trying to sell his stake.

• Rackspace Hosting Inc., up $1.31 to $31.50

The cloud computing company is being taken private at $32 a share by Apollo Management.

• Fiesta Restaurant Group Inc., up $2.11 to $24.97

• The owner of the restaurant chains Pollo Tropical and Taco Cabana said CEO Tim Taft would retire at the end of the fiscal year.

• McEwen Mining Inc., down 1 cent to $3.84

Mining and materials companies gave up early gains and turned lower in afternoon trading.

• Big Lots Inc., down $2.37 to $50.57

Despite reporting earnings that beat analysts' forecasts, the closeout store operator fell following disappointing results from Dollar General and Dollar Tree.

• Aceto Corp., down $5.53 to $20.16

The company, which sells pharmaceutical ingredients, reported earnings and revenue that fell far short of analysts' forecasts.
