The Salt Lake Tribune attended the industry-only Outdoor Retailer Winter Market at the Salt Palace Convention Center in January and came up with a list of gear that caught our attention. A collection of the gear ran in a story, but we are posting the items individually on the blog.  Lockout boot from Forsake The root's of this Boston-based shoe company come from the West, including Utah's Alta Ski Resort. Forsake president Sam Barstow spent the 2008-09 ski season working at Alta before heading back East to help form Forsake. Coming Fall 2015 is the Lockout hiker with an urban look, but featuring trail technologies. Forsake partnered with Woolrich for a stylish high ankle patch and a Peak-to-Pavement outsole. Available August 2015 for $139. - Brett Prettyman
