Wasatch Community Gardens (WCG) needs your vote to qualify for the 2017 Seeds of Change Grant Program.

Vote once per day through Wednesday, April 19 at seedsofchangegrant.com.

If selected for one of 24 national grants, WCG will use the funds to improve its Grateful Tomato Garden, a half-acre plot at 600 E. 800 South, in Salt Lake City. The site already has an artesian well for watering, and a straw bale greenhouse and a hoop house for growing. It also is the site of youth garden programs and the annual Tomato Sandwich Party.

Potential improvements include upgrading the park strips, enhancing the east boundary of the garden, installing permeable pavers in the driveway, and making the entire garden handicapped accessible.
