Per Gösta Malm, a Swedish member of the LDS Church's general authority Seventy Quorum, has died after a battle with cancer. He was 67.

"[Elder Malm] was a man of tremendous spirituality and strength. His example as a husband, father, friend and disciple has been priceless. He faced cancer with his characteristic calm and courage," said Elder L. Whitney Clayton, senior president of the Quorums of the Seventy.

Malm is survived by his wife, Agneta, eight children and 25 grandchildren.

Malm became a member of the general authority Seventy on April 3, 2010, having previously served The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a Europe Area Seventy, mission president and stake president.

He died Tuesday at his home in Göteborg, Sweden. Funeral arrangements were pending.
