Youth from the LDS Church's Ogden Utah Temple district, about 16,000 of them, participated in a cultural celebration Saturday at the Dee Events Center.

With a theme of "Shine the Light" in advance of Sunday's rededication of the newly remodeled Ogden Temple, the youth sang and danced, aided by close to 150 stage crew members and more than 1,000 adults working behind the scenes.

Children between the ages of 12 and 18 participated in two performances, one in the afternoon and another in the evening.
