Hello Kitty — that pop-culture icon with a red bow — brings her mobile vehicle of cuteness to Murray on Saturday, April 29.

Fans can find the mobile Hello Kitty Cafe at Fashion Place Mall, 6191 S. State St., between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Look for the pink truck near the Red Rock plaza on the south side of the mall.

The cafe menu features sweet treats like a three-piece cookie set, a four-pack of mini cakes and bow-shaped bottles of water. Mugs, T-shirts and the signature bow headbands also will be available for purchase.

Hello Kitty was introduced Nov. 1, 1974, by the Japanese company Sanrio. Initially, the wide-eyed cartoon character — who has no mouth — was aimed at preteens, but in recent years Hello Kitty has become a multigenerational marketing phenomenon appearing on everything from socks to expensive jewelry.
