Runners were bathed in color and island vacation spirit as the Color Run, billed as the world's largest 5K event, made waves Saturday at Library Square in Salt Lake City. As part of the 2016 event theme, "The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour," the event included palm trees, beach balls, music, island flowers and even a Rainbow Beach. The Chill Foundation, an organization that provides opportunities for underserved youth to build self-esteem and life skills through snowboarding and other board sports, was a beneficiary of the Salt Lake event.

The Tropicolor World Tour marks the fifth anniversary of the Salt Lake City-based Color Run, with stops expected in more than 40 countries this year.
