A motorcyclist died after he collided with a car while racing another vehicle early Sunday in the Millcreek area.

Deputies saw the bullet bike and a Corvette going at an "extremely high rate of speed" about 2 a.m. near 3900 South and 3000 East, said Unified Police Department Lt. Don Hutson.

They followed until 3350 East and 3900 South, where the driver of a Toyota Camry pulled into the intersection. The motorcycle and Camry collided, and the driver of the motorcycle, 25, died at the scene, Hutson said.

The two 19-year-old women in the Camry suffered minor injuries.
