SLC police, fire chiefs hold Q&A sessions

Salt Lake City's top police and fire officials are sitting down with the public to hear concerns and answer questions starting Thursday.

Police Chief Chris Burbank and Fire Chief Kurt Cook will kick off the "Ask the Chiefs" series of meetings at 7 p.m. at the Day-Riverside City Library branch, 1575 W. 1000 North.

"Creating safe neighborhoods is a joint venture between public safety agencies and the citizens we serve," Burbank said in a news release. "This series of public meetings is a new way to discuss challenges, solutions, and the roles each of us play in making the city a better, safer place to call home."

All meetings will be at 7 p.m. on Thursdays at the following public library branches:

Feb. 18 » Anderson-Foothill, 1135 S. 2100 East
