An Ogden man fired a gun at his wife after he returned from hunting early Thursday morning, police said.

The 51-year-old man's son took him home to the 200 North block of Century Drive early because he was "acting weird," said Ogden police Lt. Scott Sangberg.

"His son said [his father] had been hallucinating, and he didn't think it was a good idea to be hunting," Sangberg said. The man is on several medications and had been drinking.

The man's son left him watching television, but at about 5:15 a.m. the man began threatening his wife. She fled from the house and he fired a round from a handgun at her, but he missed. Police arrested the man on charges of aggravated assault, intoxication with a weapon and other charges.
