Police arrested a man accused of stabbing his girlfriend's adult son during a fight Saturday morning.

The woman's boyfriend arrived at the house on the 900 West block of Autumn Avenue (665 North) on Saturday morning, said Salt Lake City police Lt. Cal Kunz. The man had been drinking, and the woman asked him to leave about 8 a.m.

He refused, and the son, who also lives in the house, stepped in. The boyfriend became angry and stabbed him, according to police.

Paramedics took the man to an area hospital with minor injuries, and when officers arrived they found the 29-year-old boyfriend in a neighbor's house. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. The son, believed to be in his 20s, is expected to recover quickly from his injuries.
