Salt Lake City police arrested a woman in connection with robbing a laundromat after a witness to the crime spotted her taking a nap in the grass on Thursday.

The 27-year-old woman allegedly approached a clerk Wednesday at Century Cleaning Barn, 910 W. North Temple, and demanded money. She escaped with $50 and ran out the door, according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.

A witness to the robbery called police on Thursday after recognizing the woman sleeping in the grass near 805 W. North Temple. Police arrested the woman around 6:30 p.m.

She is being held in the Salt Lake County jail on suspicion of second-degree felony robbery.
