Three people were arrested after a shouting match outside The Showclub ended in a man firing a gun in the air and threatening two bar employees with the gun.

At 1:29 a.m. Monday, four people left the sexually-oriented gentleman's club located at 3423 S. Main Street, and started yelling at other bar patrons who were exiting the club. A 24-year-old reached into a car, pulled out a gun and fired it into the air before pointing it at two bouncers who had come out to break up the fight.

He then got in a car with three other people and was stopped by a South Salt Lake police officer five blocks later. Police searched the car and found a handgun and marijuana. Three of the passengers were booked into jail, and one was released at the scene.

"No one was injured," said Gary Keller, spokesman for South Salt Lake Police Department. "We have the gun and the person. Both are off the street."
