Provo police are searching for a gunman they say stole OxyContin and oxycodone from a Walgreens pharmacy early Monday.

The man walked into the store, at 1315 N. State St. in Provo, around 1 a.m. and talked with employees until 2 a.m., according to a police news release. He left the store, but returned at 3:40 a.m. and again started talking with store employees, police said.

At 4 a.m., the man demanded the drugs and drew a pistol from the pharmacist, police said. He jumped over the pharmacy counter, took bottles of OxyContin and oxycodone, and fled on foot, according to police.

Police are looking for Jack Rader. 23, of Las Vegas. Rader is believed to be driving a green Ford F-150, extended cab, possibly a 2000 year model. The truck should have Nevada license plates, and the passenger-side mirror and tail light are damaged.

He is described as having a medium build, brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a black baseball cap, red T-shirt and black jacket with a the words "Park City Resort" and a logo on the back.

Anyone with information, can contact Provo police at 852-6210 or detectives at 852-7248.
