A woman escaped two kidnappers Saturday morning by jumping out of the window of their moving car, Salt Lake City police said.

The victim, in her 20s, was approached by a man and woman about 8 a.m. near 900 West and 700 North, said Lt. Cal Kunz. The man hit the victim in the face and the couple pulled her into their car, Kunz said.

When the car slowed near 600 North and Rambler Drive (1100 West), the victim jumped out of the window and ran off, Kunz said.

Two suspects have been arrested. Police believe the man, 23 and the woman, 19, had planned to force the victim to buy drugs for them.
