Salt Lake City police recover 200 pounds of copper wire, drugs

Salt Lake City police have arrested two people in an investigation into a copper theft case.

In making the Thursday night arrests in the area of 900 South and 200 West, police say they found four grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and 200 pounds of stripped copper wire.

One of the occupants was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute. The other was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.
